Giampilieri's Dynamic Canalscape
Drawing from the grandeur of the Stoa of Attalus, my project proposal echoes its majesty in a modern context. Inspired by its dual-level design and the rhythmic interplay of voids and solids seen in the House in Mili, my concept centers on a flowing canal leading to a village square. Two prominent stairwells mark its ends, while the main façade harmonizes with existing structures through a dynamic arrangement of varied-sized openings. This synthesis of ancient influence and contemporary design breathes new life into the surroundings, evoking the timeless allure of Athenian architecture.
